When you login to the Virgin Money mobile app, you'll be shown any payments that need to be approved. All you need to do is review the details. Once you're happy, simply select Approve. 

If you're already in the mobile app when you make the transaction, and you don't see the transaction approval screen, please log out of the app and back in again. This will then show you the transaction approval screen.

 

If you have enabled push notifications, you'll receive a push asking you to log into the app and approve the transaction. If you don't have push notifications enabled, you simply need to login to the mobile app where you'll be shown the transaction approval screen.

 

If our mobile app is unavailable, you'll be asked to authenticate transactions via a one-time passcode (OTP), which we'll text to your mobile phone. 

 

If you get an error screen when trying to approve a transaction, check that you are on the newest version of our mobile app.

 

Some transactions don't need to be verified:
• Recurring transactions
• Low value payments
• Transactions with merchants you've added to your trusted retailer list in the app

 

For your security and as part of the Financial Conduct Authority's regulations we must ask you to authenticate specific online payments. Doing this in our mobile app is quick and secure.
