We still collect your Direct Debit even if you make additional payments. This means that you can pay more than the Requested Payment if you want to.
We don't usually request a Direct Debit if the full outstanding balance on the account has been paid more than 5 working days before the payment due date (when the Direct Debit is due to be paid). We understand there may be occasions when both a Direct Debit and another payment method processed in the same month, result in the account going into credit.
If your account is now in credit, you have the option to request a refund of the amount your account is in credit or you can make a purchase using your card. Check out - I've had a refund to my credit card and my account is now in credit, how do I get this money into my bank account?
If your account is not in credit and you need your Direct Debit amount paid back to you, contact your bank to raise a Direct Debit indemnity claim.
