What’s the difference between a money transfer and a balance transfer?

This article is for the following products:
 

A money transfer lets you move money from your Virgin Money or Virgin Atlantic Credit Card to your current account. A balance transfer lets you move the amount you owe on another UK credit card or certain store cards to your Virgin Money or Virgin Atlantic Credit Card.  Your store card needs to have a VISA or MasterCard logo to process your balance transfer request.

You won’t be able to make balance transfers to this account from another card issued by Clydesdale Bank PLC (including Virgin Money, Virgin Atlantic, Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank or ‘B’ credit cards), a non-UK financial organisation and certain store cards.
