If we declined to offer you a card, we won’t be able to tell you exactly why. When you apply for credit, we (and other lenders you apply to) will look at a range of factors.
This includes the information you told us in your application, your income or outgoings, your credit history and that you meet our lending criteria. If we’ve said no this time, it doesn’t mean everyone else will too but please wait at least 6 months before applying for a Virgin Money Credit Card again.
Each time you apply for credit, it may affect your credit score. So, if you’re thinking of applying for more, it’s a good idea to get a copy of your credit report and check that it is all up to date. Money Helpers article explains more on how to check this.
If you think our decision isn’t right and you’ve got more info to share, we’ll take another look and get back to you within a month. We will need to know why you wish to appeal the decision and what additional information you can provide that would support the appeal.
